Minotaur Business Research provide a range of different research services to clients. Because each clients needs are unique we tailor our service specifically for them. This can involve a single survey or a complete package incorporating multiple different methodologies and procedures.
Our services all include a free consultation before the project begins. This can help you define exactly what information you require and even if such a service will be of benefit to you. Once the data gathering phase is complete we will process and analyse the data and then present the resulting reports to you in person. This allows you to ask any questions you may have and ensures you are aware of all key findings.
We generally conduct consumer research on a face-to-face basis and commercial (business-to-business) either face-to-face or by telephone.

Quantitative Surveys
Minotaurs original speciality. We conduct customised surveys of your customers (or people you wish were customers) and determine their impressions of you and your competitiors. A quantitative survey is ideal for finding out what demographics desire since it can be analysed by criteria such as age, gender, location and more.
Since such surveys need to be focused we will sit down with you and determine your exact needs. Once you are happy with the final questionnaire we will conduct the interviews, process the resulting data and prepare graphical reports including a written summary. Then we will contact you and present the results to you personally.
Quantitative surveys can be conducted on groups from 100 upwards. We geenrally conduct consumer surveys on a face-to-face basis and commercial ones via telephone.
Focus Groups
Focus Groups are excellent for teasing out specific issues. They allow greater discussion of individual topics than are possible with quantitative surveys. However they use smaller groups which may not be representative of the population as a whole and so cannot be broken down by demographical criteria.
Two of the main issues with a Focus Group are identifying the specific areas to be examined and identifying a suitable panel. Minotaur can conduct focus groups on a stand-alone basis or as part of an overall package. In particular we can conduct quantative surveys which highlight specific areas to be examined in a follow-on focus group. The same survey can also identify a suitable panel and so avoid the common problem of having regular focus-group "junkies" attending all your panels.
Mystery Shopping
Mystery Shopping allows a company to evaluate exactly how their business is performing from a customer point of view. A Minotaur researcher can attend your place of business unannounced and complete a transaction (for instance having a meal in a restaurant). During this time they will covertly monitor multiple criteria agreed in advance. While a Mystery Shopper can be of benefit to a sole trader they are particularly useful to owners/managers of chains of stores who wish to ensure that each one is maintaining the standards required.
Feasibility Studies
It is important that any business or individual conduct a feasibility study before commencing a new business or product. Minotaur can conduct these for you and have done so for a range of clients, particularly in the construction field. For a consumer product we can conduct a face-to-face survey within specificed areas and not only identify if there is a market of the service but also identify how best to market it. For business to business products we can identify the type of business of interest and contact them via phone to elicit the information you require.
Lead Generation
Minotaur have recently completed a number of combined information gathering and lead generation projects for clients in Ireland and the UK. These combine the quantitative survey with direct collection of interested contact information. For instance we can identify the reasons why a business sector are not using your products, the media they consume and also provide you with direct and interested leads who are now aware of your product. This combined marketing and surveying process is a new service and is an example of how we can tailor our offerings to your unique needs.
